Hey, I'm Gbemi
I didn't start out as a fitness coach.
I started out as a frustrated woman who was tired of diets that didn't work for my food, workouts that killed my curves, and "wellness advice" that had nothing to do with my real life.
In 2014, I launched my blog Dubai Fit Foodie to document my own fitness journey. I didn't know it would win awards. I didn't know the recipes I created would someday feed thousands of people in my own restaurant. I didn't know I'd be on the cover of Women's Health Middle East.
And I definitely didn't know it would help me build a community of boss women committed to moving more, eating well, and dancing their butts off.
But here I am. And you're here with me.
Why I Created AFLM
Because I was tired of watching African women struggle with the same cycle I went through:
Start a diet. Give up their food. Lose weight from all the wrong places. Fall off. Gain it back. Blame themselves. Start over.
I knew there had to be a better way.
So I went back to the drawing board. I got certified as a Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach. I studied the science. I tested everything on myself and my clients. I created meal plans that actually work with African food. I designed workouts that protect curves while building strength.
And AFLM was born.
