Hi! I'm Gbemi, and I founded DigiBoss Academy for one simple reason: I have been in your shoes. I know exactly what it is like to be a creator always wondering how other people are doing it but being too shy or ashamed to ask. I know how tight lipped this industry is. I know how selective and marginalised it can be.
So let me tell you a little bit about where things changed for me.…
I have always worked in Digital Marketing. At my day job, I worked for hours daily at the Agency pumping out content for my clients and then at night I came back home to do the same thing for my own platforms.
The difference was I was getting paid at my 9-5 job but my job as an influencer only paying me in free gifts, dinner invites and “exposure” and the occasional paid brand deal.
It didn't make sense to me and I KNEW there had to be another way to get a larger payout, so in 2018 I committed to figuring it out and I said f*uck it! I’m quitting this damn job and I’m going to throw myself full time into being a content creator and I’m bound to make this work.
So I focused on growing my following to over 10k and I kept pitching my blog and networking….Everything I was supposed to do as a “creator”
BUT….after months of inconsistent pay, low ball brand deals and several heart palpitations over my rent, I knew it was NOT going to work. I had it all wrong.
Just being an influencer was certainly not going to cut it. I quickly learned that to be a full time Influencer I had to be an Entrepreneur; Think like one and grow like one.
So I launched my first service, and then my next product and then the next product thing and every single time I launched, my first couple of clients were always in my following.
2 years later, I now do this full time.
I've bootstrapped several businesses to 6 figure revenues, attracted multiple investors via social media and leveraged my influence as a business asset.
I put together DigiBoss as a a comprehensive program to teach my signature methodology that has allowed me to go from struggling Influencer to full time entrepreneur.
